A warm welcome to our blog! If you have ever been to our Milk Bar Gelato on the Paseo Marítimo in Fuengirola, you may have wondered: Who is behind these creamy creations? Today, we, Sarah and David, would like to take you a little on our personal journey.
The search for the perfect gelato It all started with a shared passion – and a pretty high expectation for really good ice cream. On our travels, we repeatedly found that many ice cream flavours were tasty, but rarely absolutely “perfect”. We dreamed of creating a gelato that makes no compromises. An ice cream that is not hurriedly produced in large factories, but is made with true dedication, plenty of time, and the very best ingredients crafted from scratch. Our motto has been clear from day one: Quality over Quantity.
Our secret: The best of both worlds David has always been convinced that an outstanding product must start with the purest base. After a long search, we found exactly what we wanted: For our irresistibly creamy base, we use only milk and cream from happy, Irish grass-fed cows.
We combine this premium milk – and here Sarah's love for traditional ice cream art comes into play – with the finest and most exquisite flavour pastes directly from Italy. This fusion of Irish freshness and Italian craftsmanship is our little secret for the full-bodied gelato that you can enjoy with us.
Our home in Fuengirola But where should our dream become reality? As we walked along the sun-drenched beaches of the Costa del Sol, we knew: This is the place. Right here, at Paseo Marítimo Rey de España 98 in Fuengirola, we wanted to create a place of encounter. For us, ice cream has the magical power to connect generations – from traditional family recipes to the wonderful memories awakened by the taste and scent of childhood.
At the same time, we love to be innovative and play with new trends. Whether it's our Dubai White Chocolate Gelatoor our refreshing, vegan sorbets like the Dragon Fruit and Passionfruit Sorbet – we are constantly trying out new, bold flavours.
